TRE-H and examiner refresh course

The privileges of a TRE-H / type rating examiner are the issuance or revalidation of type ratings.

The TRE-H training is delivered several times a year by our Senior type rating examiner pilots, contact us to find out the upcoming session dates.

The seminar is a requirement to extend or renew your examiner authorization every 3 years.

Initial TRE

  • Hold a valid FCL CPL-H or ATPL-H license

  • Hold a valid class 1 medical certificate

  • Hold a valid TRIH and the relevant type rating (IR if necessary).

  • Have not been subject to any sanctions, including the suspension, limitation or revocation of any licence, rating or certificate issued in accordance with Part-FCL, for noncompliance with the Basic Regulation and its Implementing Rules during the last 3 years.

  • 1000 Hours including 500 PIC on helicopter for ME or 750 Hours including 500 PIC on helicopter for SE.

  • 50 Hours instruction as FI, TRI or SFI on type.

  • Organization of controls

  • Human factors and test procedures

  • Skill test conclusion

  • Conduct of a Type rating renewal skill test (observer and examiner)

  • Conduct of a Type rating renewal skill test (observer and examiner)

  • Duration: 3 Days

  • Theoretical course: 6h (+ 1h if not familiar with the FFS)

  • FSTD: 2h Examiner - 2h Observer

Seminar

  • Prerequisites

  • Hold a TRE(H) examiner license OR Hold an FE(H) examiner license

  • Hold a valid TRI (H) and a valid QT OR Hold a valid FI(H) and a valid QT (single engine)

  • Have carried out at least 6 examinations or tests during the period of validity of the authorization.

  • Hold a valid class 1 medical certificate

  • Speak and read French or English fluently

  • Have not been the subject of any sanction during the last three years and in particular of no suspension, limitation or withdrawal of one of his licenses, qualifications or authorization

  • Theoretical course: 6h - for TRE-H / 7h for FE-H
